Applying Currency Formatting

Need to quickly apply currency formatting to your spreadsheet.  This can be done with a single cell, row, column, or group.

For a single cell:
1. Click on the cell.  You will know a single cell is highlighted by the thick black line around the cell.

2. Press the Ctrl + Shift keys, hold and then press 4.  Let go of all the keys.
NOTE:  The cell, A2 remained General formatting while the cell, A1 was changed to Currency formatting.
For a row, column or group of cells:
1.  High light (select) the row, column or group of cells.

2. Press the Ctrl + Shift keys, hold and then press 4.  Let go of all the the keys.
NOTE:  The formatting has changed to Currency and the $ sign is added to the data.

  1. Wow, nice presentation here on how to formatting the currency. I think every thing is possible int his excel sheet, it is very helpful for the business people, those who wants to calculates the money counts.
